freezing to death on the University of Rochester campus January 3, 2008

Went out shooting with Joe and we wandered to different parts of the UofR campus this evening. Temperatures were below 20 and my legs were the first thing to get cold. Managed to get this before clouds filled the sky causing me to give up the attempt to take some more photos:

The sky was perfect at that time with the nice moving clouds. I wish I hadn’t centered the building quite so much but it was cold and I was starting to want to get out of there so that’s what I got.  I also would have preferred a better composition coming from the left a bit more so the right roof wouldn’t obscure part of the tower.  I’m not sure if I would ever be able to move far enough over to get it out of the way though.  A few minutes later, after working with Joe to figure out why his D3 would intermittently not write to either of his CF cards (one SanDisk and one Transcend), we left to get some dinner.

Earlier today I was playing around with my flash on the off camera shoe cord thing (overpriced cable that connects flash to hot shoe) while taking pictures of my cat, Ghost. Here he is:
