The Panasonic DMC-G1 was not one of my favorite cameras when it was announced. The lousy EVF viewfinder coupled with a price that I think was too high for what it offered did not make for a winning combination. Although I have more issues with it than that, it also lacked HD video recording which should have been an obvious feature to include in the first version and I’m sure gave some consumers pause.
