I want to go back to New Mexico

Back in the winter of 2006 I visited my friend-from-preschool Dan in Pittsburgh, saw the sights and then flew out to New Mexico with him. Dan and I were going to visit his sister, Charlotte, in Santa Fe for about a week. The trip was originally going to be a visit from just Dan but with the help of their parents the plan was hatched for me to join and surprise Charlotte. Mission accomplished!

We were in Santa Fe for most of the trip but also spent some time sight seeing around various places including Albuquerque and Madrid. We got hit with a lot of overcast weather (which I was assured was unusual) and even got snowed on one day in Santa Fe.

I hope to go back some day, I want to see Charlotte again and I want to shoot more than I did on my first trip. The people, culture and sights are so much different from here and so vibrant that I think it would be really rewarding to revisit the area and attempt to do it justice. I’m not sure if I’d be going with Dan again or if I’d be going with someone else (I know another Dan who is from New Mexico!) but I’m thinking it would be a fantastic road trip. Hopefully when I return the weather will be a bit more cooperative though.
