I have a terrible habit of not doing or saying anything regarding the affiliate programs that I am a member of. I’ve been running this site for fun, I don’t put a monetary value on the time I spend keeping it running and creating new content for it. Sadly I can’t get a discount on hosting just because of that, so the affiliate programs help offset recurring and future expenses.
It all started way back when B&H contacted me and invited me to their program. The rest, as they say, is history. It seems the time has come for an update and an explanation of what these are since I have received plenty of questions in the past. This serves as an explanation for those who are hesitant or don’t understand what it all means. I am also going to be adding this information to a static page on the site soon.
At the moment I’m a member of five: B&H Photo, Newegg.com, Kodak Gallery, Adobe and Amazon.
For each of these you just have to click on any of the specially encoded links to them I’ve placed on this site (like those in the previous line!). Those links will redirect you to them and they’ll know I sent you. From there all you have to do is your shopping as usual. It won’t cost you anything and I receive a small percentage of whatever you buy. If you want to be sure that your purchases will register as having been done via my affiliate links I’d recommend coming here and clicking before you start each shopping adventure. You can bookmark any of the five if you don’t want to have to come here to click through before you start shopping as well.
There are also small banner images at the bottom of every page for each of those five companies.
