The latest in a long line of bizarre multicolored Pentax cameras seems to have anti-theft intentions in mind. If your camera looked like this you’d be pretty secure in knowing nobody else would want to touch it. Sadly I’m not colorblind enough to be spared from experiencing the horror that is Pentax special edition design. A bit over a week ago Joe and I went back downtown to spend some time wandering and shooting. We met up over at the studio and went to Dinosaur for lunch before wandering the city. It’s always interesting running in to and talking with city workers about what we’re up to. A couple were walking by us and asked if we were visiting or if we were from the area. Neither of us are natives but we certainly wouldn’t say we’re visitors at this point. They thought our repeated trips to downtown Rochester to see and shoot were interesting, but to us they’re fun and sometimes we see different things. Photography to me isn’t just about shooting, it’s about constantly observing everything around me and going out and looking for opportunities. Some trips are more successful than others.
