Huzzah, new host! Did some cleanup and whatnot but there’s more to be done down the road. At least we’re up and running for now. Please please please let me know if anything is broken! [...] Continue reading Big move done! I have a terrible habit of not doing or saying anything regarding the affiliate programs that I am a member of. I’ve been running this site for fun, I don’t put a monetary value on the time I spend keeping it running and creating new content for it. Sadly I can’t get a discount on hosting just because of that, so the affiliate programs help offset recurring and future expenses. [...] Continue reading Update on affiliate merchants: now affiliated with Amazon Since yesterday I’ve been doing a little tweaking on the site. There’s a new Facebook like button on each post which you can find at the bottom of the post. It’s also on the home page list of posts in the info bar below each post listing. [...] Continue reading Log in with Facebook, Flickr, Google, Twitter and more I guess it’s time to start using complete sentences! At three I should probably be able to identify colors reliably as well. Yeah, right. [...] Continue reading The Colorblind Photographer is now three! We’ve made it through another big update and nothing looks broken, yet! [...] Continue reading WordPress 3.0 Having just gotten back from vacation I’m still catching up with everything and fending an overly affectionate cat off of me every time I try to type anything. I’ve got a few things to work on including photos from a factory I visited in Pennsylvania and some discussion of my recent bookmaking experience (which isn’t over yet). [...] Continue reading Coming soon: camera bags, factories and more bookmaking After many repeat suggestions of “sell prints you fool” I’ve finally decided to try something. For the time being I’m giving Etsy a shot. I know quite a few people who use and love it so why shouldn’t I? Click on the “Buy Prints” link in the top navigation bar and you can be the lucky owner of this experimental first online print-for-sale. On another note, I can’t wait for color management in Flash to match what Firefox is doing to CSS colors. [...] Continue reading Now selling a print on Etsy! The screwed up links for several recent galleries on the galleries page have been fixed. [...] Continue reading Screwed up gallery links fixed! I’ve replaced Lightbox. For a long time I’ve been trying to find something with the ease of use of Lightbox that incorporated automatic image resizing (like Shadowbox). I also needed it to display longer descriptions correctly, something Shadowbox has trouble with but Lightbox is good at. Shadowbox still has some neat features that I wish I could take advantage of like allowing you to drag a huge image around inside of the pop up frame. [...] Continue reading New image display method After learning about http://colorfilter.wickline.org/ I wanted to incorporate it in to this site. If you click the image at the top of the right sidebar (just above where it says “Login” if you haven’t logged in) you can view this site with the colors filtered to simulate the various kinds of colorblindness. You can click the icon while viewing any page on this site and it will filter that page. [...] Continue reading New site feature: see this website with simulated colorblind vision
