Having just gotten back from vacation I’m still catching up with everything and fending an overly affectionate cat off of me every time I try to type anything.
I’ve got a few things to work on including photos from a factory I visited in Pennsylvania and some discussion of my recent bookmaking experience (which isn’t over yet). [...]

After many repeat suggestions of “sell prints you fool” I’ve finally decided to try something. For the time being I’m giving Etsy a shot. I know quite a few people who use and love it so why shouldn’t I? Click on the “Buy Prints” link in the top navigation bar and you can be the lucky owner of this experimental first online print-for-sale.
On another note, I can’t wait for color management in Flash to match what Firefox is doing to CSS [...]

I’ve replaced Lightbox. For a long time I’ve been trying to find something with the ease of use of Lightbox that incorporated automatic image resizing (like Shadowbox). I also needed it to display longer descriptions correctly, something Shadowbox has trouble with but Lightbox is good at. Shadowbox still has some neat features that I wish I could take advantage of like allowing you to drag a huge image around inside of the pop up frame. [...]

After learning about http://colorfilter.wickline.org/ I wanted to incorporate it in to this site. If you click the image at the top of the right sidebar (just above where it says “Login” if you haven’t logged in) you can view this site with the colors filtered to simulate the various kinds of colorblindness. You can click the icon while viewing any page on this site and it will filter that page. [...]

Newegg is more or less the first place I look for computer hardware and accessories and is where I buy basically everything for the computers I’ve built. They also sell a lot of photographic equipment so if you’re ever looking for something like that please consider using my affiliate links to help support this site! [...]

Although it has been up there for a little while now, there is a Galleries page which takes you to a list of all the galleries I’ve added since using NextGEN for my photo management on the site. Any new gallery I add to a post will be placed on that page as well so it will function partly as a centralized place to find galleries and is an easy way to get a quick look at every gallery uploaded since the change to NextGEN. [...]

Another email out of the blue coming from this site, and this time it was from B&H. They’ve invited me to join their affiliate program and I’ve accepted! I’ve certainly done plenty of business with them over the years and will continue to do so as well as continue to recommend them to others. Now I get the advantage of receiving something in return for every person I point their way who purchases something. [...]

There have been various Wordpress and plugin updates recently but today I looked in to some new themes. Not that the one I had before was bad, but it lacked a couple features I wanted and made doing a few other things difficult (I had already modified the code some in the past). Now I’ve got excerpt support including images (in most cases, sometimes it won’t work with images from my NextGEN plugin). Header images are now rotating and much easier to add and work with. [...]
