Various tweaks and a new page

I adjusted a few settings pertaining to the new (but not so new now) theme… hopefully there won’t be any other hidden surprises or things that I broke during the transition. I also added a new “Learn Something” page accessible through the page link bar just below the site banner at the top of the site. Two new galleries added, and introduction of the Galleries page

Although it has been up there for a little while now, there is a Galleries page which takes you to a list of all the galleries I’ve added since using NextGEN for my photo management on the site. Any new gallery I add to a post will be placed on that page as well so it will function partly as a centralized place to find galleries and is an easy way to get a quick look at every gallery uploaded since the change to NextGEN. Some pretty big site updates

There have been various WordPress and plugin updates recently but today I looked in to some new themes. Not that the one I had before was bad, but it lacked a couple features I wanted and made doing a few other things difficult (I had already modified the code some in the past). Now I’ve got excerpt support including images (in most cases, sometimes it won’t work with images from my NextGEN plugin). Header images are now rotating and much easier to add and work with. [...]

WordPress updated and the promise of more RED hype

Aside from updating WordPress before I’m away for Thanksgiving, I though I’d mention that RED has promised more hype on December 3rd which they guaranteed to make their previous hype look insignificant. I will definitely be posting something about whatever this new thing is. Since they claim it will be so significant, I suppose it means they’re buying Canon and Nikon. [...]
